Smiling in the cold

These shots were taken at the Winter Festival of Habits and Traditions. While every county performed their number, these lovely people were watching what’s going on there. I kind of chasing them, and suddenly they smiled, so then I have pushed the button. I love the chosen angle because shows that there was not an act. What I caught, you can see here.

The Winter Festival of Habits and Traditions “Marmatia” is one of the most important events which take place in Sighetu Marmatiei, and which aims to be, as stated: (27 -28 December 1969): “an opportunity and a way simultaneously to print a new meaning and content of ancient habits and traditions, to enhance and present all that is more enduring and more authentic in Maramures like folk art forged by many generations of wonderful people in the north of our country.

This year I was there to take some shots and what happened there, you can see in the next pictures. I like the naturalness of this people and even though outside was so cold, they didn’t stop performing their number.

Some of them are color, others are black and white.

The Reader (Part II)

Today, I went to an old house which was abandoned, to take some photos. What happened you can see here. I wanted to show that the reader has a lot of files to read, and after he read them, he throw them into that old bag. I like the black and white version because shows vintage prospects, evan though I believe that it would have looked good in color version aswell.
